About this fabric

This colourway is catalogued as velvet, with no further composition, width or performance specification supplied. The visible design is filled with overlapping leafy sprays and large, softly rounded blooms in muted rose, sage, teal and cerulean blue-green. Against the near-black charcoal background, the cooler leaves recede into shadow while the dusty pink flowers provide subdued points of contrast. The deep palette and plush velvet character give the pattern a particularly opulent, enveloping look.

How to use it

Use Cerulean on a statement armchair, ottoman or headboard, pairing its charcoal depth with aged timber, smoked metal and warm dusty-rose accents. Keep surrounding upholstery relatively plain so the blue-green foliage and layered floral detail remain the focus.

Use this dark, densely patterned velvet to create a dramatic statement chair, sofa or headboard.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
