About this fabric

The swatch shows a close, even weave in a muted birch taupe, with fine lighter and darker threads creating a subtle crosshatched texture. At 198gsm and 48.5 threads per cm, it has a light-to-midweight handle that is well suited to drapery. The 308 cm usable width allows broad curtain lengths with fewer joins, while the absence of a pattern repeat keeps cutting straightforward. Its warm grey-beige tone reads softly in changing light, avoiding the starkness of a cooler grey or bright cream.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe on full-height curtains where it can soften crisp white walls, pale timber and natural upholstery. The understated weave also works well with layered neutrals, from chalky cream to deeper mushroom shades.

A wide-width neutral with a fine, understated weave for softly tailored curtains and blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
