Nerikomi Matcha

Harlequin x Henry Holland Fabrics FabricHAF0592-03

Nerikomi Matcha has a pale, cool matcha-green ground traced with tightly spaced, sweeping lines. Overlapping rounded forms create a quiet, flowing pattern whose fine linear texture shifts gently across the surface.

About this fabric

The design is made up of broad, curved blocks filled with concentric, woodgrain-like lines, giving the surface an organic sense of movement without a high-contrast outline. Its soft sage-green tone reads muted and lightly greyed rather than bright, allowing the fine lines to remain subtle. At 274gsm and 137.5cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suitable for upholstery and drapery applications. The pattern has a 62.5cm vertical repeat and 68.7cm horizontal repeat, while the supplied 127 threads-per-centimetre specification reflects the closely detailed construction.

How to use it

Pair Nerikomi Matcha with warm oak, chalky neutrals and natural woven accents to balance its cool sage tone. On a curved chair, bench or relaxed curtain, the sweeping repeat can echo rounded architectural forms.

Use the muted matcha ground to bring a cool, organic softness to upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Nerikomi Matcha without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
