Demoiselle Shell

Zapara Wallpaper Edit WallpaperHAW0067-01

Demoiselle Shell places finely drawn dragonflies across a warm shell-cream ground, with pale taupe and muted golden linework that reads softly against the light background. The open spacing keeps the large insect motifs airy rather than visually dense.

About this fabric

The design shows repeated dragonflies with delicately netted wings and slender, articulated bodies, rendered in restrained taupe-gold on a softly warm cream ground. This wallpaper has a usable width of 52 cm and a standard roll length of 10.05 m. Its 32 cm vertical pattern repeat gives the winged motifs a measured rhythm, while the 154 gsm weight suits it as a lightweight printed wallcovering. The low-contrast colour pairing lets the fine wing tracery remain visible without overwhelming the room.

How to use it

Bring out Demoiselle Shell’s warm, lightly faded tone in bedrooms, dressing rooms or a calm hallway, pairing it with chalky neutrals, natural oak and aged brass. Its delicate dragonflies work especially well where the wallpaper can be viewed at close range.

Use the warm shell ground with pale timber, linen and softly aged brass for a light, quietly elegant scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
