About this fabric

The close-up shows broad checks in pale grey and warm cream, crossed by narrower rust-brown and taupe lines that add depth without making the colourway feel dark. Its finely woven surface creates a subtle variation across the lighter ground, while the brown intersections read as softly softened rather than sharply graphic. The balanced check scale gives it a relaxed, traditional feel that can sit comfortably on upholstery or as a curtain fabric. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair the soft grey ground with chalky whites, oatmeal and weathered timber, using the warm brown lines to connect with leather, walnut or muted terracotta accents. Its balanced plaid works well on an occasional chair, bench cushion or relaxed drapery.

Use this softly toned plaid to bring warm, tailored contrast to pale upholstery, cushions or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
