Lochore Meadow Fabric

Lochore Walk Buttercup is a compact, textured weave built from olive green, cream, buttercup yellow, navy and muted burgundy threads. Its tightly arranged check has the visual character of a richly coloured tweed.

About this fabric

The small-scale check is formed by closely interlaced horizontal and vertical yarns, creating a gently irregular surface rather than a perfectly uniform grid. Olive green provides the dominant ground, while buttercup yellow appears as bright, warm flecks that lift the darker navy and burgundy threads. Cream highlights soften the contrast and give the weave a layered, meadow-like impression. The visible construction has a substantial upholstery character, with enough colour variation to disguise everyday marks while retaining a lively textile texture.

How to use it

Pair this olive-led colourway with warm timber, cream upholstery and aged brass, or use it on a statement armchair to introduce buttercup yellow without making the room feel overly bright. Burgundy and navy details will draw out the deeper threads in the weave.

Use this richly flecked woven check to bring warm, layered colour to occasional chairs, sofas and footstools.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
