About this fabric

The large-scale plaid is built from contrasting blue-grey and charcoal areas, warmed by burnt orange and punctuated with burgundy stripes. A directional, ridged weave catches the light across the surface, giving the colourway depth rather than a flat, printed appearance. No performance features or further specification data are noted for this fabric. Its substantial-looking textile character makes it a natural choice for upholstery where the opal-toned blue-grey can balance the warmer rust notes.

How to use it

Use Callanish Plaid Opal on an armchair, ottoman or compact sofa in a room with charcoal, aged timber and warm rust accessories. The cool blue-grey panels keep the strongly coloured check feeling composed, while the burgundy and orange details add warmth.

A richly textured plaid combining cool blue-grey with rust, burgundy and charcoal for characterful upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
