About this fabric

The large plaid is built from warm stone, oatmeal and pale grey-beige blocks, crossed by narrow slate-blue and muted brown lines. A pronounced diagonal twill structure runs across the cloth, adding fine ribbing and gentle variation as the light moves over the surface. The compact, substantial-looking weave makes this colourway read as upholstery-led rather than fluid or sheer. No composition, width or rub-test information is supplied for this fabric, so practical suitability should be confirmed before ordering.

How to use it

Use the cool slate lines to connect with blue-grey painted woodwork, while the oatmeal and greige ground sits comfortably beside warm oak, tan leather and undyed linen. On a chair or compact sofa, the broad checks will give a relaxed room a quietly tailored focal point.

Use this softly weathered plaid on an armchair, sofa or headboard, pairing its greige ground with warm timber and natural linens.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
