Lochore Castle Buttercup

Lochore Meadow Fabric

Lochore Castle Buttercup brings a warm, buttercup-yellow character to the Lochore Meadow weave. In the close-up, tiny cream and ochre irregularities soften the mustard ground, while the raised yarns give the surface a tactile, lightly pebbled appearance.

About this fabric

This colourway is built around a rich mustard-gold base that reads warm and mellow rather than bright lemon yellow. Its visible structure forms a small, uneven grid, with pale cream threads and muted ochre flecks moving across the surface. The irregular weave gives the cloth a softly nubby texture and subtle tonal depth, so the colour changes gently as the light catches different threads. The overall effect is tactile, relaxed and distinctly autumnal.

How to use it

Use this warm buttercup mustard on an occasional chair, footstool or sofa where its irregular texture can add depth without introducing a strong printed motif. It works particularly well beside chalky creams, honey-toned timber and earthy olive or rust accents.

Pair its warm mustard tone with natural woods, cream upholstery and softly aged metals for a welcoming, layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
