About this fabric

Catalogued as a Carpet, Caper has the substantial, compact appearance expected of a dense textile, making it the more natural choice for hard-wearing upholstery than fluid window treatments. Its olive-brown ground shifts gently between earthy khaki and darker brown-grey areas, giving the colourway depth without a visible motif. Fine nubby fibres create a granular surface, while scattered lighter flecks add a restrained, almost mineral glimmer.

How to use it

Use Caper on a structured armchair, ottoman or sofa where its deep olive tone can sit comfortably with walnut, aged brass, tobacco leather and warm stone. Its subdued variation also works well as a grounding counterpoint to patterned cushions in rust, cream or muted blue.

Use this deep olive-brown texture to add quiet depth to tailored upholstery and earthy, layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
