About this fabric

Shown close up, Carbon is a deep charcoal-grey textile with closely spaced vertical cords and a softly irregular, tactile surface. The near-black tone remains visibly grey rather than flat black, with narrow highlights tracing the raised ribs. It is catalogued as Fabric; no composition, width, rub-test result or performance features were supplied for this colourway. The fine, even rib gives the cloth a structured appearance suited to upholstery.

How to use it

Use this cool, near-black charcoal on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where the vertical cord can add texture without introducing a strong pattern. Pair it with pale oak, chalky walls and brushed metal for a crisp contemporary scheme, or layer with deeper grey tones for a more enveloping room.

A deep charcoal cord with fine vertical ribs for tailored upholstery and modern, tonal interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
