About this colour
In #BEC4C7, Obscura reads as a pale cool grey with enough softness to avoid feeling harsh, while still lifting light rather than swallowing it. On a wall, it can look almost silver in bright south-facing rooms, with the blue note becoming more apparent as the light intensifies. In north-facing light, it turns quieter and slightly moodier, showing more of its misty grey character. It works well beside crisp white woodwork, pale oak, smoked timber and upholstery in deeper greys, blue-greens or muted indigo.
