Cannage - Poivre

Escales Lointaines Fabric5078-04

Cannage - Poivre presents a tightly packed field of small interlocking diagonal marks, with charcoal threads set against warm taupe and cream. The close weave gives the surface a crisp, ordered appearance while retaining subtle tonal variation.

About this fabric

In this Poivre colourway, the pattern reads as peppery charcoal over a warm oat-taupe ground, softened by fine cream highlights between the marks. The miniature geometric repeat creates a gently broken surface rather than a flat solid, with the darker threads giving the fabric clear visual depth. Its compact, structured weave visually suits upholstery more readily than a light, fluid drapery cloth. No composition, width or rub-test data has been supplied for this SKU.

How to use it

Use Cannage - Poivre on a tailored armchair, dining seat or sofa where its charcoal-and-taupe contrast can sit comfortably with natural timber, stone and warm neutral walls. Keep surrounding textiles relatively plain to let the small-scale pattern provide the detail.

Use this peppery, finely patterned weave to bring quiet contrast and texture to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
