About this fabric

The dark ground gives this textile a deep, dramatic base, allowing the clustered flowers, branching stems and scattered birds to emerge with striking clarity. Crimson, burgundy and dusty pink blooms create the strongest colour notes, while muted sage, pale blue-grey and warm taupe details add contrast without lightening the overall mood. The pattern is visibly dense and large in scale, with enough variation across the design to reward close viewing. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use La Canopee - Noir where its near-black background can add depth, such as statement curtains, a reading chair or occasional upholstery. Balance the vivid botanical colours with plain textiles in charcoal, warm taupe or muted sage.

Use the ink-black ground and jewel-toned floral density to bring depth to upholstery or full-length drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
