About this fabric

The surface is formed from irregular horizontal rows of chunky, nubby yarns, creating a pronounced woven relief rather than a flat printed design. Dark navy and black dominate the ground, while ochre, tan and small cream highlights break through in uneven, lively flecks. The contrast gives Nuit considerable visual depth, with the lighter yarns catching the eye across the surface. Its substantial-looking weave makes it especially convincing for upholstery and other pieces where texture is meant to be seen up close.

How to use it

Use Sorgho - Nuit on a statement armchair, sofa or ottoman where its navy-black depth can anchor a room. Pick up the warmer side of the colourway with tobacco leather, ochre accents or aged timber, while cream details will sharpen the lighter flecks.

A dense, nubby horizontal weave that brings dark depth and warm ochre highlights to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
