Ombelle - Mordore

Festivités Fabric4281-02

Ombelle - Mordore brings together a warm ochre-gold ground and a repeating floral trellis, with small flower heads and scrolling stems picked out in muted brown, cream and rust tones. The woven surface gives the pattern a softly dimensional, traditional character.

About this fabric

The design is formed from linked, curling diamond-shaped stems, each enclosing a floral motif with a central flower and leafy sprays. In this Mordore colourway, the mustard-ochre ground reads warm and mellow, while the darker brown outlines and muted rust details give the pattern added depth. Subtle tonal variation across the woven surface catches the light without becoming glossy. This is catalogued as a fabric, with no composition, width, rub-test or performance-feature specification supplied.

How to use it

Pair the warm ochre-gold ground with walnut timber, aged brass and softly chalky neutrals for a collected interior. Its formal floral scale is particularly effective on an occasional chair, dining chair or traditionally shaped sofa.

Use this warm ochre-gold colourway to bring patterned depth and a quietly historic character to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ombelle - Mordore without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
