Grasscloth Wallpaper

Sisal Alabaster is a very pale, warm-toned wallpaper with an almost-white cream ground and a restrained horizontal surface texture. Its quiet finish gives the wall a softly tactile appearance without introducing a visible motif.

About this fabric

From Mark Alexander’s Grasscloth collection, Sisal Alabaster reads as a delicate alabaster cream, with a gentle warmth rather than a stark white cast. Fine, low-contrast horizontal lines move across the surface, creating subtle depth that becomes more apparent in the light. The near-plain design keeps the overall impression calm and spacious, while the lightly textured finish prevents the colour from feeling flat. This colourway is catalogued for wallpaper use.

How to use it

Pair Sisal Alabaster with pale oak, limestone and soft oatmeal upholstery for an airy, tonal scheme. Its warm cream cast also works well behind darker walnut or brushed metal accents, where the fine horizontal texture can be seen at closer range.

Use this softly textured alabaster shade to create calm, light-reflective walls alongside natural timber and warm neutral furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
