Ogee Birch

Timeless Embroideries Fabric

Ogee Birch pairs a pale birch-beige ground with a delicate ogee lattice, drawn out in softly contrasting embroidered lines. The fine vertical slub gives the surface a quiet textile depth without disturbing its light, airy appearance.

About this fabric

The repeating ogee forms create a measured geometric rhythm, with small dotted details tracing parts of each curved motif. Its warm, chalky beige tone is restrained rather than yellow, and the close tonal contrast keeps the pattern understated from a distance. Fine vertical lines run through the ground, adding a lightly tactile, linen-like visual grain. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so the image-led appeal is its subtle embroidery, pale colouring and softly textured surface.

How to use it

Use Ogee Birch where a room needs a gentle pattern without strong contrast: relaxed curtains, a neat blind, or upholstery alongside warm ivory, putty and pale timber tones. Its birch-beige colour also works as a calm bridge between cooler stone shades and warmer natural wood.

A pale, quietly patterned textile whose fine vertical texture and low-contrast ogee embroidery suit both tailored upholstery and softly structured curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ogee Birch without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
