Timeless Pattern Fabric

Sketch Fossil has a softly weathered, pale ivory ground crossed by barely visible linear marks. The close-up reveals a quiet woven texture and an understated, pencil-like pattern.

About this fabric

The colourway reads as warm fossil ivory, with delicate taupe-grey lines creating a low-contrast, gently aged effect. Fine crosswise threads are visible across the surface, giving the cloth a lightly tactile, natural texture rather than a flat finish. The abstract sketching appears in broad, irregular traces and faint rectangular movements that add depth without becoming dominant. No composition, width, rub-test or other performance specification is supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this warm ivory colourway to soften tailored seating, headboards or full-length curtains, particularly alongside chalk, oatmeal and pale timber tones. Its faint grey-taupe linework can also quietly link plain upholstery with more expressive drawn or geometric furnishings.

A fine, lightly textured weave with restrained sketch-like linework suits both upholstery and drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sketch Fossil without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
