Thistle Weave Hares Coat

Indoor Outdoor Weaves OutdoorMOF0238-04

Thistle Weave Hares Coat combines a warm ochre-brown ground with a creamy botanical pattern of curling stems, stylised flowers and paisley-like leaves. The dense repeat gives the swatch a richly ornamental, almost tapestry-like presence.

About this fabric

At 585 gsm, this is a substantial outdoor textile with the visual weight expected of a hard-wearing upholstery weave. The warm ochre brown reads earthy rather than bright, while the cream pattern lifts the surface and keeps the intricate foliage legible. Its 67 cm vertical repeat and 71 cm horizontal repeat create a clearly scaled, all-over arrangement of scrolling stems, flowers and pointed leaf forms. A 141 cm usable width and 53.3 threads per cm provide useful specification detail for planning upholstered panels, cushions and larger seating pieces.

How to use it

Use this warm ochre-and-cream colourway on a statement armchair, bench or outdoor seat cushion where its formal botanical repeat can lead the scheme. Pair it with aged wood, natural rattan and quieter cream or tobacco textiles to emphasise its earthy depth without competing with the pattern.

A substantial outdoor weave with an ornate ochre botanical pattern, suited to statement seating and cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Thistle Weave Hares Coat without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
