Aysgarth - Charcoal

Misc Fabric

Aysgarth - Charcoal balances deep charcoal blocks against a weathered olive, taupe and cream plaid. Its softly brushed surface gives the pattern a muted, tactile depth rather than a crisp graphic finish.

About this fabric

Broad charcoal bands form the strongest feature of this large-scale plaid, while olive and taupe sections soften the overall impression. Cream lines cross the design at intervals, adding warm contrast and giving the checks a layered, woven appearance. The close image shows a subtly brushed surface with fine diagonal yarn texture that gently diffuses the edges of each block. It is catalogued as a fabric, with no performance features noted.

How to use it

Use this charcoal colourway on a traditional armchair, footstool or deep seat where its olive and cream checks can sit comfortably with natural wood, aged leather and warm neutral walls. The darker blocks also make it effective as a grounding accent against lighter upholstery or curtains.

A substantial, softly textured plaid for relaxed upholstery, occasional chairs and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
