Lamont Agate

Quinton Fabric

Lamont Agate is a quiet blue-green colourway with the softened, mineral character its name suggests. In the close-up, fine crossing yarns create a lightly mottled surface rather than a bold motif.

About this fabric

The colour sits between blue-grey and desaturated teal, with pale threads and deeper blue-green flecks lending the surface gentle depth. Its close, crosshatched weave is clearly visible, giving the plain ground a tactile, softly irregular finish. The restrained contrast keeps the design calm while preventing the shade from appearing flat. As a textile with a fine woven texture and no visible pattern repeat, it can read equally comfortably across upholstered forms and softer hanging applications.

How to use it

Pair Lamont Agate with chalky whites, warm stone and pale oak to balance its cool blue-green cast, or deepen the room with charcoal and aged brass. Its understated weave is particularly effective on a simple upholstered chair, headboard or relaxed curtain.

Use this cool, softly weathered blue-green as a calm foundation for upholstery, curtains or layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
