Guess Who? Fabrics FabricSCF0034-01

Up Periscope Postboxred / Denim / Pea places colourful little submarines across a warm cream ground, combining postbox red with denim blue, pea green and ochre-yellow accents. The repeated motifs give the surface a bright, cheerful character without losing the calm of the pale background.

About this fabric

The submarines alternate between saturated red, cool denim blue, fresh pea green, ochre yellow and softly faded cream, with small circular portholes adding patterned detail. The 135 cm usable width and 373 gsm weight make this a substantial, versatile fabric for both upholstery and drapery applications. Its vertical repeat is 46 cm and horizontal repeat is 64 cm, so the submarine layout should be considered carefully when cutting larger upholstered pieces. A thread count of 31 threads per cm supports the fabric’s visibly full, tactile-looking surface.

How to use it

Use the cream-ground colourway on a child’s chair, bench cushion or relaxed blind, then pick up the postbox-red or pea-green submarines in plain cushions and painted woodwork. Denim-blue details will cool the scheme, while ochre brings out the warmer notes in the motifs.

A playful cream-ground submarine design with clear colour contrast, suited to relaxed upholstery, blinds or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Up Periscope Postboxred / Denim / Pea without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
