About this fabric

This 224gsm fabric has a 137cm usable width, giving the illustrated gull design a versatile mid-weight handle for upholstery or drapery. White seabirds are spaced across the taupe-grey background, while charcoal-slate wing markings and ochre beaks and legs add small, graphic flashes of contrast. The pattern repeats every 31.5cm vertically and 34.3cm horizontally, creating a clearly readable medium-scale layout. Its softly weathered taupe tone feels quieter and more grounded than a crisp blue-and-white coastal palette.

How to use it

Use Laridae Taupe on a relaxed occasional chair, Roman blind or loose cushion, picking up its ochre details with natural wood and its slate markings with charcoal piping or painted furniture.

Pair the muted taupe ground with warm oak, chalky whites and charcoal accents for a relaxed coastal scheme.
