Whinfell Mineral/Spice

Northwood Fabric FabricCCF0751-02

Whinfell Mineral/Spice is a densely drawn botanical on a warm mineral-cream ground, with cool teal fronds threaded through rusty spice flowers and olive stems. The balanced cream field keeps the detailed repeat light, while the blue-green and orange accents give this colourway a softly vintage, quietly lively character.

About this fabric

Fine botanical stems, fern-like fronds and small flowers spread across the mineral-cream ground in a closely populated, flowing field. Teal-blue foliage gives the design a cool lift, while rusty spice blooms and olive-green leaves add measured warmth without overpowering the pale background. At 224gsm and 137cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The pattern has a 32cm vertical repeat and a 68.5cm horizontal repeat, allowing the branching arrangement to continue clearly across the cloth.

How to use it

Use the mineral-cream ground to keep a chair, bench or curtain scheme light, then draw out the teal foliage with blue-green accents and echo the rusty spice flowers in warm terracotta details. Its 224gsm weight supports either tailored upholstery or softly structured window dressing.

The 224gsm mid-weight balances a mineral-cream ground with teal foliage and spice blooms for upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
