Glyndebourne Ink

Glyndebourne Fabric

Glyndebourne Ink sets an atmospheric chinoiserie scene against a parchment-taupe ground. Ink-blue birds and sweeping leaves provide the strongest contrast, while faded moss and stone-grey botanical detail keep the colourway quietly weathered.

About this fabric

Against a parchment-taupe ground, cool ink-blue leaves and birds give the design a distinctly shadowed woodland depth. Long, spiky foliage rises through the repeat, while pale hanging flower clusters and mossy branches soften the darker blue passages. The surface has a visible fine textile grain that gently breaks up the flat colour, so the ink tones read as softened rather than glossy. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification for this fabric.

How to use it

Use the cool ink-blue foliage to echo painted cabinetry, deep blue upholstery or aged ceramics, allowing the muted taupe ground to sit comfortably with natural timber and stone. Its layered botanical scene would add character to curtains, occasional upholstery or a reading-room chair.

Its cool ink-blue foliage and weathered taupe ground bring depth to a library, study or softly layered sitting room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
