Glyndebourne Fabric

Glyndebourne Document presents a softly aged chinoiserie scene on a muted stone-beige ground. Blue-green foliage, coral-red flowers and small perched birds create a layered, painterly landscape across the cloth.

About this fabric

The stone-beige background is gently mottled with olive and grey-green tonal patches, giving the colourway a quiet, weathered depth rather than a flat neutral appearance. Large sprays of blue-green leaves and palms frame coral-red blossoms, while birds and small human figures add movement throughout the repeat. The close-packed scene gives the surface a substantial, tapestry-like visual presence, although no composition, width or rub-test figures are supplied for this fabric. Its restrained ground lets the stronger blue and red accents read clearly without making the overall design feel bright.

How to use it

Use the warm stone-beige ground to anchor a period-inspired sitting room, pairing it with aged wood, olive paintwork or faded red upholstery. As curtains or occasional upholstery, the blue-green foliage can connect easily with both muted neutrals and deeper jewel-toned accents.

Use this richly detailed stone-beige colourway to bring an established, collected feel to upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
