About this fabric

The swatch combines a warm, muted beige ground with narrow vertical marks in a slightly deeper taupe-brown tone. The small broken stripes are closely spaced and subtly irregular, rather than forming a bold graphic pattern. A visible slub-like variation across the weave gives the otherwise restrained colourway gentle depth as the light moves over it.

How to use it

Use Halmstad Fallow where a pale oatmeal neutral is needed with more surface interest than a plain cloth, such as a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtain. Pair it with warm timber, chalky paint and soft taupe accents to echo the fabric’s fine darker lines.

Its pale oatmeal tone and fine broken stripes bring understated texture to upholstery, cushions or softly tailored curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Halmstad Fallow without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
