Madison Fabric

Madison Autumn is a richly textured woven colourway, combining warm taupe-brown grounds with fine cream and rust accents. Its softly ridged surface gives the cloth a tactile, upholstered appearance.

About this fabric

The fabric is built from closely spaced horizontal and vertical threads, forming a small irregular check with subtle linear movement. Warm brown and taupe tones dominate, while cream threads catch the light and rust-coloured flecks add muted autumnal depth. The dense, visibly substantial weave and gently raised folds make this colourway particularly well suited to upholstery. Rather than reading as a flat brown, it has a softly varied surface that shifts between earthy, shaded and lightly highlighted tones.

How to use it

Use Madison Autumn on a generous armchair, sofa or footstool alongside natural timber and warm neutral textiles. Its taupe-brown base and restrained rust detailing also suit relaxed, layered rooms with leather, wool or woven accessories.

Use this warm, earthy colourway on relaxed upholstery where its tactile weave can add depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
