Marni Spruce

Marni Fabric

Marni Spruce is a deep, greyed green textile with a softly irregular woven surface. Across the folded swatch, its earthy spruce tone shifts subtly between olive and charcoal as the light catches the raised texture.

About this fabric

The fabric has a dense, small-scale nubby weave rather than a printed motif, giving the surface a tactile, gently pebbled appearance. Its spruce colouring is muted and cool, with enough depth to read as a sophisticated olive green in the darker folds. The substantial-looking cloth gathers into defined pleats in the image, supporting its classification as an upholstery fabric. Fine tonal variation across the weave keeps the plain surface from appearing flat.

How to use it

Use Marni Spruce on a sofa, occasional chair or headboard where its deep grey-green tone can anchor a room without the starkness of black. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and oatmeal or stone textiles to draw out its earthy olive character.

A deep, greyed spruce tone and tactile nubby weave bring understated character to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
