Soho Fossil is a richly textured woven fabric in a weathered taupe-brown colourway. Its softly uneven surface brings visible depth, with darker flecks and lighter threads creating a naturally aged appearance.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a dense, irregular weave built from taupe, mushroom, brown and charcoal yarns. Rather than a printed motif, the character comes from the varied slub-like threads and small tonal shifts across the surface. The darker strands settle into the weave while raised lighter fibres catch the light, giving the cloth a gently dimensional finish. This earthy Fossil colourway reads warm, muted and quietly rustic, making the texture the main visual feature.

How to use it

Use Soho Fossil on an occasional chair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its warm grey-brown depth can sit alongside natural wood, limestone and other tactile neutrals. Its mottled surface also works well in tonal rooms that need subtle contrast without a bold pattern.

Pair this earthy taupe-brown weave with warm timber, stone and softly aged leather for a relaxed, layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
