Solna Fabric

Solna Catkin is shown here in a muted mushroom taupe, with a softly brushed surface that catches the light across its relaxed folds. Its even, plain face lets the subtle tonal variation come from the pile and drape rather than from a printed motif.

About this fabric

The colour sits between warm grey, brown and olive, giving this shade a grounded, softly weathered character rather than a crisp neutral appearance. A fine, velvety-looking surface creates gentle highlights on the raised folds and deeper shadow through the creases. The cloth appears substantial enough for upholstery, while the fluid fall visible in the image also suggests a graceful curtain application. No composition, width, rub-test or other performance figures are supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Pair the mushroom taupe with chalky stone, aged timber and warm brass for a calm, layered room. On a sofa or occasional chair, its olive-grey undertone will temper stronger earthy colours without looking flat.

Use this softly shaded mushroom taupe on upholstered seating where its plush surface can add quiet depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
