Solaire Chaise

Solaire Chaise is shown in a deep taupe-grey, with a smooth face that catches light softly across the folds. Its fluid fall creates broad highlights and shadowed channels rather than a visible woven motif.

About this fabric

The colour sits between charcoal grey and brown-leaning taupe, giving the cloth a warm, grounded depth. In the swatch image, the smooth surface reflects light gently along the raised folds while the recessed creases deepen towards near-charcoal. The fabric gathers into soft, rounded drapes, indicating a fine, fluid handle rather than a firm upholstery weave. Its plain face keeps the focus on tonal movement, subtle sheen and the changing depth created by the folds.

How to use it

Use this deep taupe-grey for generous curtains in a room layered with warm stone, mushroom and charcoal tones. Its restrained sheen would also suit simple blinds where the softly shifting surface can remain visible.

Use this softly lustrous taupe-grey for full-length curtains or relaxed blinds in a tonal, refined scheme.

Pairs well with

Solaire Chaise is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
