Umbria Fabric

Umbria Kiln has a warm, kiln-fired brown tone that reads as softly earthy rather than strongly red or orange. The close-up shows a fine woven surface catching the light gently across broad folds.

About this fabric

The colour moves between toasted brown and muted clay, giving the fabric a grounded depth without appearing dark or heavy. A fine, closely set weave creates subtle vertical texture across the surface, while the folded swatch shows a soft, fluid handle. Light shifts gently along the diagonal folds, bringing out slightly lighter brown highlights against the shaded valleys. With no additional performance or composition specifications supplied, its suitability here is judged from the visible versatile weight and drape.

How to use it

Use Umbria Kiln to bring warmth to a neutral room, particularly on relaxed upholstery or full-length curtains alongside cream, oatmeal, aged timber and other earthy brown tones.

A warm, softly textured brown with an easy drape for relaxed upholstery and window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
