03 Onyx

Andreas Fabric03

Andreas 03 Onyx is a near-black charcoal ground marked by a repeating, broken chevron pattern. Fine tonal variation across the surface gives the dark shade a softly distressed, tactile appearance.

About this fabric

The pattern is formed from layered angular marks that move diagonally across the cloth, creating a medium-scale geometric rhythm rather than a sharply outlined repeat. Subtle charcoal shifts catch the light within the black ground, giving the surface depth without introducing a contrasting colour. Its dense-looking, textured appearance makes it visually well suited to upholstery, particularly on seating where the graphic pattern can read across a larger surface. The supplied record lists this as Fabric and provides no composition, width or performance data.

How to use it

Use Onyx on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its near-black tone can anchor a room. Pair it with warm timber, brushed metal and softer grey or ivory textiles to balance the graphic texture.

Use this deep Onyx colourway to give upholstered seating a graphic, quietly dramatic finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside 03 Onyx without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
