About this fabric

This colourway has a strong charcoal-black presence, softened by the ivory lines that define its compact woven pattern. Groups of short horizontal and vertical bars shift direction across the cloth, producing a basketweave effect with clear rhythm and depth. The dense, structured appearance makes it particularly well suited to upholstery, where its monochrome contrast can read as both graphic and quietly tailored.

How to use it

Use Frida 01 Liquorice on a statement armchair, dining seat or ottoman, pairing its black-and-ivory geometry with pale timber, brushed metal or calm neutral upholstery. It also works well as a sharp contrast against softer grey and cream furnishings.

Use this graphic black-and-ivory weave to bring crisp contrast to contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
