Riley Fabric01

Riley 01 Tuxedo is a dark, monochrome woven fabric with a closely worked surface that shifts between charcoal, black and pale grey. Its fine irregular texture gives the colourway depth without introducing a distinct printed motif.

About this fabric

The surface is formed from a tight, grainy weave, with small flecks of pale grey interrupting the charcoal and black ground. Subtle vertical changes in the weave create a softly uneven visual rhythm, while the dark palette keeps the overall impression composed and tailored. This is a textile colourway whose interest comes from thread variation and texture rather than a bold pattern, making the Tuxedo shade read as richly layered at close range and nearly solid from farther away.

How to use it

Use 01 Tuxedo on a structured armchair, sofa or dining seat where its charcoal black-grey tone can anchor a room. Pair it with pale stone, concrete grey or warm timber to draw out the contrast between its dark ground and lighter woven flecks.

Use this monochrome textured weave to bring quiet depth to tailored seating and darker contemporary schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
