Varet Espresso Cognac
Dvvtextures Fabric
Varet Espresso Cognac combines a deep espresso-brown ground with scattered cognac accents woven into broken horizontal markings. Its dense, nubby surface gives the colourway a notably tactile, layered appearance.

About this fabric
The surface is built from closely packed, irregular loops and small raised fibres, creating a substantial woven texture across the swatch. Dark espresso and chocolate-brown tones dominate, while warm cognac and burnt-orange flecks appear in intermittent horizontal traces. These brighter threads are softened by the dark ground rather than forming a sharply defined stripe, giving the pattern a richly mottled depth. As a textile SKU with no further performance or composition specifications supplied, its principal visual character is the robust, tactile weave shown here.
How to use it
Use this warm espresso colourway on a generously shaped sofa, armchair or headboard where its nubby texture can be seen up close. Pair it with cognac leather, aged timber and muted rust accents to draw out the orange-brown flecks without losing the depth of the ground.
A richly tactile espresso ground, enlivened by broken cognac lines that bring warmth and visual movement to upholstered pieces.

Pairs well with
Varet Espresso Cognac is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
