About this fabric

The design is formed from loosely elongated vertical marks, with pale chalky passages breaking through warmer beige and taupe areas. In this colourway, the straw tone reads gentle and sun-warmed rather than yellow, while the ivory accents add lift across the surface. Subtle shifts between light and mid-tone beige create visual depth without a sharp repeat or high-contrast outline. The balanced, textile-like appearance makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Wandle Straw on a relaxed occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtain where its warm beige tones can sit alongside ivory linen, taupe upholstery and pale timber. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the vertical painterly movement remains the focal texture.

Pair the warm straw ground with ivory, taupe and natural timber for a softly layered interior.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
