About this fabric

Woven from 100% linen, Waterpolo Pebble is 140 cm (55") wide and has a 68.73 cm (27") vertical and horizontal pattern repeat. Its softly mottled pebble background gives the colourway a quiet, chalky depth, while the blue-grey lines bring cool definition without strong contrast. The abstract, branching motif is visible across the full swatch, with loosely cellular forms that create movement at medium scale. Suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, it has a 20,000 Martindale rub test. Professional dry cleaning is required; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the pale pebble and blue-grey combination to bring a cool, softly coastal note to curtains, an occasional chair or a relaxed upholstered bed. The irregular pattern works especially well alongside chalky neutrals, weathered timber and muted blue-grey accents.

A versatile linen with a pale pebble ground and softly irregular blue-grey lattice pattern.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Waterpolo Pebble without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
