About this fabric

The design is arranged in vertical stripe groupings, with broad oatmeal-linen bands separated by slim blue-green, cream and dusty mauve lines. Its 373 gsm weight gives the cloth a substantial, versatile handle for upholstery or drapery, while the restrained mineral palette keeps the overall effect calm rather than bright. The horizontal pattern repeat is 8.7 cm, with no vertical repeat, and the usable width is 137 cm. A standard length is 40 m, making the fabric suitable for coordinating longer runs as well as smaller upholstery requirements.

How to use it

Use the cool mineral stripes to temper warm timber, natural linen and pale plaster, or bring out the muted mauve pinstripes with dusty rose or taupe accents. The vertical arrangement works particularly well on curtains, headboards and tailored occasional chairs.

A substantial woven stripe that balances a warm linen ground with cool mineral accents for upholstery, curtains and relaxed tailored schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alderton Mineral/Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
