About this fabric

This colourway combines an ivory-cream base with delicate warm beige and oat tones, creating a gentle contrast across the densely woven surface. Tiny linked geometric motifs repeat every 1 cm vertically and horizontally, producing an even texture rather than a bold, directional pattern. With a 596 gsm weight and 137 cm usable width, Sotano has the substantial presence expected of a heavy upholstery cloth. The specification also records 50 threads per cm, consistent with the image’s closely detailed weave.

How to use it

Use this warm ivory-and-oat colourway on an armchair, sofa or headboard where its fine repeat can add interest without darkening the scheme. Pair it with chalky neutrals, natural timber and softly aged brass for a calm, tailored interior.

Its warm ivory ground and fine oat-coloured pattern bring gentle texture to upholstered seating without overwhelming the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
