Sotano Denim

Espectro Weaves FabricCCF0856-03

Sotano Denim combines a pale denim-blue fleck with a soft ivory ground in a tightly woven, finely patterned surface. The close-set geometric marks give the swatch a gently textured, almost pointillist appearance rather than a bold printed effect.

About this fabric

The cool blue-and-ivory colourway reads light and muted, with the denim tone appearing as tiny repeating geometric flecks across the pale ground. At 596 gsm, this is a substantial fabric suited to upholstery, while its 50 threads per centimetre contribute to the dense visual texture visible in the swatch. The usable width is 137 cm and the standard length is 30 m. Its restrained 1 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats keep the small-scale design continuous and easy to position across upholstered forms.

How to use it

Use Sotano Denim on a tailored armchair, dining seat or sofa where its pale denim-blue tone can bring a cool, understated note. Balance the ivory ground with chalky neutrals, soft grey, or warm natural wood.

Pair the cool pale denim-blue ground with ivory, soft grey or weathered timber for a quietly tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
