Rambla Noir has a softly mottled cream ground threaded with closely spaced black and charcoal flecks. Its finely broken horizontal texture gives the surface depth without creating a bold, high-contrast pattern.

About this fabric

This substantial woven fabric weighs 513gsm and has 53 threads per centimetre, giving the swatch a dense, tactile appearance suited to upholstery. The warm cream base is scattered with short dark marks that read almost like irregular dashes across the cloth, while the close weave keeps the overall effect quiet and refined. The pattern repeat is 28.5cm vertically by 34cm horizontally, and the useable width is 137cm. A standard length is 30 metres.

How to use it

Use Rambla Noir on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its warm cream tone can lighten a room while the black flecks add definition. Pair it with charcoal, soft black, natural oak and textured ivory fabrics for a layered, contemporary scheme.

A substantial cream woven with fine dark flecks, well suited to tailored upholstery and contemporary neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
