Sotano Noir

Espectro Weaves FabricCCF0856-04

Sotano Noir combines a pale ivory ground with closely spaced charcoal-black woven marks, creating a finely textured monochrome surface. The tiny, regular pattern reads as softly mottled from a distance and more geometric up close.

About this fabric

This substantial 596gsm textile has a dense woven texture, with small dark motifs arranged across the light ground in a 1cm vertical and 1cm horizontal repeat. Its charcoal tone is softer than a solid jet black, while the ivory base keeps the overall colourway bright rather than stark. With 50 threads per cm, the surface has a notably close-set appearance suited to defined, tailored upholstery. The fabric has a 137cm usable width and is supplied in a standard 30m length.

How to use it

Use Sotano Noir on a sofa, dining chair or occasional seat where its charcoal-and-ivory fleck can add quiet pattern without overwhelming the room. Pair it with warm wood, ivory walls and blackened metal for a balanced monochrome scheme.

Use this dense charcoal-and-ivory texture to bring definition to tailored upholstery and calm monochrome schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
