Spencer Ebony

Edgeworth FabricCCF0579-02

Spencer Ebony has a deep charcoal-black ground animated by a tightly spaced ivory micro-check. The close pattern reads almost as fine vertical texture at a distance, while the pale flecks become more apparent across the surface.

About this fabric

This 301 gsm woven fabric has a compact, graphic appearance, with narrow dark-and-light marks creating a restrained broken-check effect. Its 140 cm usable width makes it practical for upholstery panels and seating, while the 40 m standard length supports larger schemes. The pattern repeat is exceptionally fine at 0.5 cm vertically and 2 cm horizontally, keeping the design discreet and textural rather than overtly decorative.

How to use it

Use Spencer Ebony on a tailored armchair, dining chair or compact sofa where its near-black tone can add depth without introducing a flat solid. Pair it with warm timber, brushed metal and pale upholstery accents to bring out the subtle ivory checks.

A dense charcoal-and-ivory micro-check with a tailored, quietly graphic character for upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
