Velluto Nero combines a deep charcoal-black ground with tightly repeated, pointed motifs in ivory, ochre and muted grey. The close-set pattern has an ikat-like, architectural rhythm, while the textured surface softens the contrast between its dark and light tones.

About this fabric

The charcoal ground gives this colourway a notably deep, cool presence, with ochre and tan accents adding warmth inside each elongated, shield-like motif. Ivory edges and muted grey-blue details create a broken, woven-looking outline rather than a flat geometric effect. At 204 gsm and 138 cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight fabric for upholstery and drapery. The pattern repeats every 15.5 cm vertically and 22.5 cm horizontally, making the regular arrangement easy to read across a length; the standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

Use Velluto Nero on a statement chair, bench or full-length curtain where its charcoal depth can anchor a room. Repeat the ochre notes with aged brass, walnut or tobacco leather, and balance the dense motif with plain ivory or stone textiles.

Pair the charcoal ground with warm timber, aged brass and ivory upholstery for a graphic, layered scheme.
