Almeida Charcoal

Evora Fabric FabricCCF0756-01

Almeida Charcoal is a cool, finely patterned textile with a dense field of tiny interlocking diamonds and lattice-like marks. Its charcoal ground is broken by pale grey and soft white flecks, giving the surface a quietly dimensional appearance.

About this fabric

The closely woven design combines charcoal, graphite and light grey tones in a small geometric repeat, with the lighter threads catching across the surface rather than forming a bold contrast. The pattern repeat measures 4cm vertically and 4.5cm horizontally, keeping the motif compact and evenly distributed. At 222gsm, the fabric has a versatile mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. It is supplied at a usable width of 138cm, with a standard length of 30m.

How to use it

Use Almeida Charcoal on a tailored chair, bench or pair of curtains where its cool grey depth can anchor a room without appearing flat. Pair it with chalky whites, smoked timber and brushed metal to pick up the pale flecks in the weave.

Use the cool charcoal ground with pale grey accents to bring crisp, tonal pattern to upholstery or window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Almeida Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
