About this fabric

At 407 gsm, this substantial woven fabric is well suited to upholstery, with a 141.5 cm usable width for practical cutting. The Noir/Linen colourway has a cool charcoal ground crossed by near-black shadowing and lighter linen-grey highlights, giving the abstract pattern a deep, gently weathered appearance. Fine horizontal lines run through the cloth, while irregular stacked motifs create a medium-scale rhythm across the surface. The pattern repeats every 42.5 cm vertically and 35.5 cm horizontally, and the weave is specified at 20.8 threads per cm.

How to use it

Pair this cool charcoal-and-linen colourway with pale timber, blackened metal or warm ivory upholstery piping. Its layered tonal pattern is especially effective on sofas, occasional chairs and headboards where the texture can be seen at close range.

Use this dense charcoal-and-linen weave to bring layered texture and quiet contrast to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Zocalo Noir/Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
