Zocalo Marine

Espectro Weaves FabricCCF0858-04

Zocalo Marine combines a deep, cool marine ground with softly mottled ochre and muted grey-gold threads. Its close horizontal weave gives the surface a gently striated, tactile appearance, while the irregular tonal blocks create a restrained abstract pattern.

About this fabric

This substantial 407gsm fabric is suited to upholstery, with a useable width of 141.5cm and a standard length of 30m. Across the marine-blue ground, small ochre-gold and smoky grey areas drift through the weave, giving the colourway more warmth and depth than a uniform navy. Fine horizontal threads catch the light in narrow lines, making the surface shift subtly between blue and bronze as it moves. The pattern repeats at 42.5cm vertically and 35.5cm horizontally, allowing the softly broken motif to remain visible on larger upholstered forms.

How to use it

Use Zocalo Marine on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its cool blue depth can anchor a room. Pick up the warmer ochre threads with aged brass, walnut, cognac leather or muted stone upholstery companions.

Use this weighty marine-and-ochre weave to bring depth to upholstery, especially against warm timber or aged brass.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
